I have the numbers in a spreadsheet now.
I simplified the results a bit. I excluded .22short . 5.56 and .223 are the same, 308 and 7.65X54R are the same. If you didn't say otherwise I made assumptions that a .25 was a .25ACP, 38 was a 38 was a 38 even if you said otherwise, I spent several hours building the data set it would have taken days if I broke it down to the lowest possible level. About half way through I stopped adding new calibers that were only listed once, so if your wildcat caliber is not counted, sorry but I didn't have the time.
Based on 84 submissions here are the results.
77 (91.67%) of us have a .22LR
67 of us have a 12 gauge
59 have a .45ACP
58 have a 9mm
44 have a .223
41 have a .357
35 have a .40 S&W
34 have a .38 (of some sort, many people call it many things)
32 have a .30-06
29 have a .308
Many of you have way to damn many calibers!
m72law takes the prize for most calibers at 36 that I counted, including such common rounds as the 25-06, .220 swift and the always popular (he's the only one) 6.5 Caracano and the surprisingly popular 7.7x58 Ariska (3 of them).
I noticed a trend that if you like Japanese calibers you have lots of them and they are weird.
gutz47,Thlayli, texaswoodworker, i_am_free, armsmaster270, XxChino13xX, pfev1980, if you meet any of these people, please let them shoot your .22LR so they can learn how fun it is and get one. Armsmaster270, you have 14 calibers of guns and no .22!
I'll post the spreadsheet tomorrow unless anyone objects. It has your name and all the calibers you have and I know how sensitive some people get about things like that, even though I got all the data from this thread.
