Never had a problem with my xd40 sc. My friend has never had a problem with his xd .45.

XDM may be encountering something here. I'm sure it will get worked out.

I'm looking forward to an xdm sub compact .40.

I'm honestly surprised to hear all of this. I know a number of people who have XDs and XDMs in various calibers and none of them have had any problems. One friend of mine easily puts 200+ rounds a week thru is 9mm and it never misses a beat. I personally own a 4" model in 45ACP with at least 3000 rounds thru it and I've never had a problem. I've also got a 9mm 3" with close to 500 thru it now and I've never had an issue. I love my XDs.
I'll be interested to see what solves the problem. How has SA's customer service been to deal with?

I have a XD 40 in subcompact, and have yet to have an issue with it. I've only put about 500 or so bullets through it but like I said not even a remote sense of issue.

Maybe it's you? Are you properly maintaining the gun? Any pistol will have issues if it is poorly cared for or worse made to jam by improper handling. Running it through dirt, leaving it in pocket for lint.

Very nice gun by the way.

I don't think the XDM is going to see any small sizes, the M stands for match. It wouldn't be a match pistol if it got shorter.

I thought it stood for MORE? More bullets,etc.... They advertise heavily the 19+1 rds to sell it.

I've never owned a "lemon" in any brand of firearm so I'm not bashing the XDm. Just out of curiosity, does there come a point where they have to replace it completely or is it at the manufacturers discretion?
