I have a large 3 ring binder, I take photos of every gun I own, obviously photos that show the serial number and also that provide clear image of firearm, then I type out a sheet of paper with make, model, serial, etc and keep them all organized and documented. Works great and if in the event my house burns down or something happens I will have every single firearm documented and proof of ownership for each and everyone.

flash drive, but also don't give up on the old way of writing it down. I think it is important enough to write it down in a few places and store it. Keep a computer storage of it and use flash drive and computer hard drive.

Double check your actual homeowners policy. Mine is only $2.5K without purchasing extra coverage.

I have photos of all my guns and S/N recorded on my home PC, my work PC, and my smart phone.

I snap photos of all my firearms and close up shots of the serial numbers. I store them on a USB flash drive and then store that in a fireproof safe with any other important documents....I also scan any receipts that are firearms related especially receipts of actual firearms purchases since the receipt has the serial number also on it. I store the digital receipts on the USB flash drive too. Just in case there is any home damage where all is a loss, hopefully what I have stored inside the fireproof safe is enough to present to insurance company.

Don't need to keep records of my guns. My state does that for me

I insured all of my firearms against theft, fire, etc. I have pictures and a list of serial numbers in my safe deposit box.

Default How do you keep your serial numbers?

+1 on USB thumb drive in fireproof Safe. Also in a locked Folder on My iMac as well.
I have an optional "extra rider" as part of my Homeowners Ins.

This reminds me that I need to make a list of my serial numbers and keep them on my computer.

No time better than the present.

Good idea.
