Default Holster time for the EMP 40 help me

Well now that I got my CCW permit I'm looking for a IWB leather holster. I need some advice on what kind and type. I have looked at a lot of sites and plastic holsters and plan on carrying strong side at 3 with a FBI cant. With that said I want a high quality leather holster with a good sweat guard that conceals well. Bring on your thoughts.....

Depends on your budget.

If you have the time to wait, go with the Milt Sparks Versa Max 2.

If ugly isn't an issue, take a look at Crossbreed.

Crossbreed Holsters

I heard everyone talking about them but never could see the value. Leather + Kydex + sheet metal belt clips???

That was until I broke down and bought one. I can wear a Government 45 all day including sitting and driving in real comfort! Their ads say it all, "Crossbreed just works!"

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

I forgot to mention, GET A QUALITY BELT. One made for carry.

Your budget should include the belt and should be split 50/50 unless you plan on getting a custom made rig. (Which I can recommend, Andy Arratoonian, Holsters for Concealment a true English artisan.)

Take a look at Gun Belts by The Belt Man. I was fortunate to get one of Andy's last belts. He now recommends Jim Speidel, The Belt Man. You will be happy!

A good belt will make a below average holster work. The best holster will let you down if used with a K-Mart compressed-paper belt.

High Noon makes excellent holsters for the EMP. Plus, I hear they make good belts as well. They are expensive but you get what you pay for.

Max-Con V Holsters Concealment Systems Gunleather Concealed Carry for Weapons

IWB Com 3/DC Special H.B.E. Specialty LeatherWorks

Milt Sparks VM-2 Versa Max 2 (yeah I know about the wait Cane it's insane I can't deal with it)

Ugly does matter with holsters and in the morning!

Comments on any of these?

Chuck

Well I went with the Crossbreed. I'll let you know what i think after I wear it a while. I ordered the Horsehide since I sweat, one of their belts also, along with a set of "J" clips. What the heck...

I'm using the Crossbreed. I haven't been wearing it long enough to break it in really well yet, but the fit quality is good. Definitely stays put. I'm still new enough to carrying that it feels weird and makes me very self-conscious.

I've been carrying my LCP in a Nemesis and have no problem with the act of carrying. The concealment of the EMP will be interesting, I hope she tucks in nice.
