Nice, we can use bombs that vaporize, incinerate or blow people into small pieces but we are forbidden from using hollow point bullets in combat.

I've heard stories of soldiers in Nam cutting X's in the tips of their rounds.

As far as I know thats a ole wifes tale-
Never saw it done & doubt anyone took the time to cut anything into that itty bitty tip on a 223 round

The Arty guys might have into the tip of their 105 or 155 shells

My mentor was there through most of 'Nam. 6 tours of duty as a USMC sniper from 66-72 i think it was. He has the paperwork on the m21 he brought home from nam just lile he does his m40a1 308 he modified out in the feild.

I inlisted because I was young (17) & the Navy wanted me to wait till I was 18

Do NOT regret it one little bit!
