hi point warranty

if i polish the part that connects the barrel to the frame and it rust is it still covered by the warranty.

I would say tht u will b OK, as long as wat u do doesnt permantly alter the gun

froggyjf 09-21-2011 07:33 PM

Im going to sand off the black coating but it won't affect the function of the gun

MrWray 09-21-2011 07:58 PM

It could b iffy, im not familiar with their warranty policy.. I would still say tht u will b ok but some companies r pretty anal when it comes to their warranties

If you alter it, you own it. It is no longer the manufacturers responsibility.

That being said, Hi Point is known by some to be extremely forgiving when it comes to their warranty.

Look at this post. I've known people who have had the same experiences. One of them also being a pawn shop owner who took a broke down hi point for 50 bucks just because he knows how their customer service is.
