I finally went and bought a Hi Point .45 after being one of the biggest criticts there was. Figured any gun that cost 169.99 (187.00 after tax) could be nothing but a jamming, cheap POS. After reading comments on this and another forum I decided to give it a shot(no pun intended). Beside's for less than 200 bucks I figure if it dont work out I can get my money back. Already have 2 people wanting to buy it.

I got a .45 Hi-Point JHP pistol about a month ago. Shot it some. Haven't had a single problem. The 9mm and .40 cal are notorious for magazine issues. Not the .45

My friend hi point wouldn't feed but it the gun smith did some work in the ejector, smoothed down a ber I was told and now it shoots fine, it's ugly and I find it hard to find target acquisition on follow up shots but with practice I an sure I could be deadly

I wouldn't even give them a look until about a month ago. They were just too ugly and awkward looking. Then I got on this thread and another and was amazed that most liked there's so I figured why not. Finally found one at a gunshop about 70 miles from here but they wouldn't hold it until I could get there so called a friend in that town and had him go pick it up for me. Will go get it this weekend.

Keep your money and save up for a Glock

And yeah a used Hi Point pistol should be in the $100-$150 neighborhood
