Eventually I need to get a nice shotgun to round out the group...lol.

First I'm going to get more mags for the PA63, and maybe I'm going to get an extended slide release for the 1911. Any good suggestions for that?

Wilson Combat Extended Slide Release;

I really like mine. Makes thumb release much easier. I needed to fit it to the Colt, not a drop in, but well worth the effort.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into it. What did you have to do to fit the slide release in? I didn't think there was too much of a difference in the measurements between different 1911s as far as the slide release pin goes.

You should post some pics of those Colts you have (unless you did already in another thread and I missed it...lol).

I needed to take the pin diameter down a tad. It went into my Defender and with the alloy receiver I didn't want an excessively tight fit. I also polished the interface with the mag follower. (Just to speed up break-in)

You will find it a great addition to the Rock.

I never have to be asked twice!!!!

My 1911 group from my arsenal; L to R is Dad's 1911 A1 Ithaca, XSE & my mouse gun. Notice the Defender has the sights removed, she's going in next week for refinishing. I will post her up again when she gets back home. Her stocks are covered in Canebrake (Timber) Rattle Snake. XSE stocks are real stag.

Don't tell anyone, but here's my G22;

You're allowed to open carry a personal weapon while in uniform? Do you have to be an MP to do that or something?

The carry rig is my own personal rig. I am not allowed to open carry in uniform. I was in uniform because I just got off duty.

It would be a different military if all the military members were allowed to open carry on a daily basis (no one would get into arguments...lol).
