Help needed!!
Hey guys, I have a Px4 Storm SubCompact. I think it's a little too big for conceal carry and I have other pistols for the range. I was offered a trade on my Px4, 2x13Rd Mags, and 2x17Rd mags. I was offered a flat trade (by my LGS) for a used Beretta Nano. The Nano also has some aftermarket grip tape on it, the same stuff Hicock45 had in his review. I've got a total of 2990 rounds through the gun now. The Nano definitely looks newer, but it's "new" $100 less. I know I'll enjoy the Nano more than the Px4 in terms of size....but should I ask for more, ask for ammo, extra mags? What would make this an even trade?

I believe that one can never have "enough" firearms.
Is there a way that you could purchase the Nano? And at least 1 extra magazine?

The Nano is a good well made pistol. However, I seem to recall the slide release is not standard...something about removeing the magazine first to release the slide. Sounds odd....and how would it load the first round with the mag removed? Maybe someone else knows about this.

dan, I agree that one can't have too many guns. If I could afford it, I'd just buy it outright. Unfortunately, I'm a broke college kid.
Sonic: there's no slide release in the traditional sense. If you pull the slide back, drop out the empty mag, put a bullet in the chamber through the top, and then pull back on the slide, the slide will drop onto a loaded chamber. Any time there is an empty mag, the slide will lock. Any time the slide is locked back, and there isn't an empty mag, pulling the slide back will make it drop. It's odd, but I understand the decision.

Well, unless someone has some major problems with the Nano that I should know about....I'm doing it tomorrow. Tomorrow, I'll be the proud owner of a Beretta Nano.
Another option is the Diamondback DB9. Should I even consider it?

I don't own one. But I have read issues concerning the DB. The Nano is quality built .

Awesome! Thanks, guys. I'm headed to the gun store right now. I'm going to try to fire it and see what I can get out of the deal. No matter what, though, I'm coming back with a Nano!
