Help me choose a revolver.

I've been looking for a good revolver, and I think I found a few good options within my budget. I wanted to get a few opinions on them though.

Taurus Tracker (Gen 1) - .41 Magnum in really good condition - $400

Ruger Security Six (6" barrel) - .357 Magnum in good condition. A little finish wear. - $429

Taurus Model 65 (5" barrel? Adjustable sights) - .357 Magnum in good condition with a little wear. - $329

Smith and Wesson 19-5 (4" barrel) - .357 Magnum in good condition, but with a lot of holster wear. - $375

Ruger Speed Six (2.75" barrel) - .357 Magnum in really good condition. - $375

Here's what I'm wanting. I'm wanting a gun that is accurate, can handle reasonably hot rounds, and it will be mostly a range gun. Ammo cost and availability doesn't matter since I plan to reload anyways, and weight doesn't matter much either. (unless it's too light for the round, and makes the gun uncomfortable to shoot)

I'm kind of leaning towards either the Ruger Service Six, or the Taurus Model 65.

For me out of those choices I'd go with the Smith. I like the M19 and own one but have had some of the others. I have shot them all at one time or another. While they all are pretty good guns I just love the feel of a Smith and Wesson. Out all of the revos I own all but one is a Smith. I just believe they make some of the best out there.

Either of the Ruger's or the Smith will probably be better made but get the one that you think has the most useful application to you or the one you think will bring the most joy.

S&W 19-5 followed by the Security Six. The Speed Six isn't a bad gun, but if memory serves me correctly it has fixed sights.

This one has adjustable sights. The only gun listed that has fixed sights is the Ruger Speed Six.

BTW, it says it's a police trade in. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Opps, my bad. I misread speed as security. (it's been a long day) :o

I would go with a 357 magnum you can shoot 38 38 special out of that

I've got a soft spot for all things Ruger...

My vote is for the Security Six...

The 6" bbl will give you a lot more enjoyment at longer ranges...

My GP 100 has the 6" bbl and I can ding the gong at 100 yds at will...(warm fuzzies ;) )

Taurus left a bad taste in my mouth a few years back but that was a poly semi auto...but still. I know they make good wheelguns and have quite the following among their owners, but I'm biased towards the Rugers...:)

That being said, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the choices, just tossin' my .02 out there...
