Help identify this revolver

I inherited a large handgun collection from my father recently. I've been able to identify every one of them except this one. There is no make, model, or serial info. I asked a friend to look it over, too, just in case my eyes missed something.

Anyone recognize this? How can I find out more about it?

It is an H&R.

The trigger gives it away. Even their .22 9 shot revolvers have a similar trigger w/ exposed parts.

I'm guessing its not an H&R, as H&R usually had an identifying address line on the barrel flat.

My guess is a Spanish or Belgian copy of an H&R.

I think Bob may be correct. Look at the back of the cylinder(where the ammo goes in). Is there any small marks? (proof marks) If so Bob is correct.

I have one of these but it's broken. To give an idea of value, it would cost more to get it fixed than what I'd get selling it.

One POSSIBLE explanation- your revolver may have been reblued. If so, during the polishing prior to rebluing it was not uncommon for exposed markings to be buffed away- especially the fine stamping along the top of the barrel rib.

Two more spots to check-remove the grips, and check for a serial number stamped on the SIDE of the frame near butt- covered up by the grips. The other- the underside of the top strap, covered by the cylinder. To remove cylinder- open revolver, hold latch up all the way, turn cylinder opposite of its normal rotation, and it will unscrew and come out. Then look closely at underside of top strap for a serial number.

Some marks were usually on the rear end of the cylinder, and bottom of trigger guard- but they are very exposed to buffing.

Value on the H&Rs and Iver Johnson style top breaks seem to run around $75 to $150, depending heavily on condition.
