There are a whole bunch of civilians out there that are trained on their own dollar better than a lot of police officers who are trained for free. There are also a whole bunch of police officers that train only the minimum to get by and don't fire a shot more on their own time. Personally I rented an indoor range in town at least twice a month so I could have it to myself and fire any way I wanted including bouncing rounds off the floor to simulate bouncing bullets off the pavement to go under cars and take the other guys feet out from under him, close quarter shooting with the triggerguard back against my side (that saved my life once). Hip shooting up to the 21' mark etc.
