I guess maybe the criminal aspect of illegally carrying a concealed
weapon might cause a slight angst for the normally law abiding
citizen. You think, maybe?

I would hope you wouldn't give that as an answer to one of
your students.

It was a clever take on a somewhat poorly worded question everyone was being so serious someone had to lighten up the mood.

No need to be uptight about it the original question has been answered and an little humor is always welcome in my classroom

Correct me if im wrong thanks
Thanks for your reply. I'll leave it locked in the car then.

I asked the question because when I called Myrtle Beach p.d. I was told to leave the firearm in the glove box or the trunk (which I do not have). I had previously been at S.O.B. and "carried" into one of the shops, eaten, and later returned only to notice the (very small) warning about no firearms. It really made me nervous but I immediately put my firearm in the car. After I thoroughly read the S.C. laws (which I should have done before leaving N.C.) I realized the laws are much different from home.

yes its amazing how close you can live to another state and the laws be so drastically different. When traveling to another state you should always research the laws if you intend to carry.

its states on the S.L.E.D. web page the size of the sign and distance in from door and from ground that the no concealed weapons sign must be.

I personally would not carry into any shop even if the sign isnt to specs. I dont want to be the test case if something were to happen
