Thank you. So far so good. Only put 200 rounds through it so far but, zero issues. Gonna run another 100 rounds through it tonight.

I must say lately there has been a lot of 1911's bought from people on this forum. Is something going on that I don't know about, or are you people just a bunch of gun nuts?

My wife was asking me why I'm amassing an "arsenal"? I try to explain that it's a "collection". There's a difference right?.........

My concern isn't with Kimbers one year warranty, but the many things I've read about their customer service during and after the one year.

I like the Kimbers I have, may or may not get another, but in my opinion they don't have a warranty problem they have an image problem. Lots of shiny ads don't mean much if the buying public doesn't trust the company producing those pretty pictures.
They do have some nice ads don't they? I just noticed they have the inside front cover and the back cover of the Guns and Ammo mag I just picked up.

One thing to keep in mind: the barrels are raw carbon steel that are polished to LOOK like stainless. If you don't keep them oiled, they will start to show rust.

Had a chance to get to the range for the first time in a few weeks. Just wanted to update with a range report. Probably have about 400 rounds through it with no issues. I shot 100 rounds tonight.

This is 15 rounds shot one handed from 75':

It is a good looking handgun, but.....

It can't be a 1911 cuz you didn't post it in that sub-section. (j/k)

The groups are tightening up. I had to get use to the gun a little.

Keep in mind that this is shot one handed at 75'. Not 7 yards like a lot of targets I see posted.
