Handgun Laser help...
I've been toying with idea of getting a laser for my handguns to play around with. i want one of the rail mount low profile types. I don' want to dump alot of money into it. are any of the lower price versions worth buying??? Everything I've read says to stay away from the NcStar's even if they are only $30.
Sorry if this is a duplicate post.....

You get what you pay for.
Crimson Trace makes REALLY nice laser sights ($$$$$) . Other folks seem to make lasers.

Crimson Trace.
If you want a laser/light combo, go with the TLR-2 from Streamlight.

Already expressed, you get what you pay for. I like Insight not $30 but well worth the money if you expect to truly use it and not a just a toy on your rail. The lesser lasers will look good but if your going to use them for real invest in a good one. Otherwise know it's is just there for looks and not a sighting tool.

If you want to get a quality light/Laser combo, Streamlight M6.
Here's what it looks like in a pitch black night, against a black jacket. The laser dot is round, but I was moving slightly.

mine's cheap and its not a toy. it works quite well even took it to the range and shot well with it i got it sighted in perfect and it holds the position i locked it in very well. you dont have to buy name brands or spend an arm and a leg to get a good product. sometimes it helps but its not always necessary.
