New hand gun safe. This thing is cool. What do you guys think? Are there better ones for 100$?

there may be better ones out there, but i doubt for $100. my brother has one because he has two young daughters and wanted a way to secure his pistol, but still be able to get to if needed.

I use it. It works fine but I had to change the batteries after 2 months . That was opening it several times a day. Think i paid 109.

Yeah I wanted one because of my daughter. She is 2 now and into everything. I think this will work great to keep her from getting to my pistol.

I love my gun vault. I have it next to my bed and even in the middle of the night, I can open the vault and get my GRP.

It can easily be pried open with a screwdriver if you were dedicated, so it's not a "gun safe". What it does do is keep any wandering hands, of which we have 13 who visit regularly, away from a hot weapon.

As a first line of defense,I do not approve of putting passports, jewels, cash or anything of merit in there.

As a bed side, night time pistol holder, I love it. Men is bolted to the subfloor with lag bolts, so you can't "take" it - but there is a GRP with two mags in there just waiting for a call to do duty.

That safe runs about $70 around here. If you have children over toddlers, its priceless
