If you study some history, you will learn about the matchlock-

There WAS a crude shotgun, made by Philipine Resistance members during Japanese occupation, known as a Paltik Gun (Cigarette gun) what was a muzzle loader, used a cigarette, and a slamfire shotgun- fixed firing pin, no hammer- you slid barel back to ram shell onto firing pin. There was at least one commercially made gun in that style. Think little pipe (holds shell) slliding inside big pipe (holds firing pin)

EEEEEK. Thank god for modern technology. What would they think of an AR...
