When starting women out on shooting, especially if there's ANY question of her being strong enough to reliably rack slide of an semi-auto WITHOUT STRAINING, i ALWAYS steer them toward a revolver. Just because she's able to SHOOT a semi-auto, DON'T mean she'd be able to reload, clear a jam, or clean her weapon. It drives me CRAZY when I see people making blanket recommendations for semi-autos without having any clue whether she would be able to rack the slide or not, whereas ALL women are able to operate a correctly sized revolver.
We aren't all a bunch of weaklings, you know.

Samples and girl have a point my girlfriend has an issue with changing a tire (I think the issue being it's easier to call AAA) she has no issue with racking her G27 or poping a tight group. I think were the balance swings is most women use the "lady" thing to get out of doing things they don't want to and then ring the bell loudly when a man considers they are not capable of doing something else. It's a double edge sword so men just need to know when to duck the blade or take the cut. I call my girl out often on the double standard... we are equal so that would make it's your turn to mow the lawn, I'm feeling stressed so I'm going to set in the hot tub.

A woman who can't rack a slide needs a HUGE dog and a man by her side who has a gun.

A woman who can't rack a slide needs a good revolver.

Here's the standard:

Sorry, but I want the man dead immediately and six shots isn't going to cut it for a woman having an adrenaline rush you know how moody they can get sometimes.
