Yep, Empty Chamber Flag for use at the range. Ranges that require chamber flags often provide them, so I've heard.

My LCP doesn't lock open and a chamber flag would be sweet. I'll toss a weed whacker string in my bag. Great idea!

Considering the color and size I would check with the manufacture for the intended use. I don't think it is an empty chamber indicator. Wrong color and 2" seems pretty small for the use IMHO.

I've seen those in the chamber (ala the empty chamber flag) on new guns that I have transferred.
