Got me a new holster!
4 Attachment(s)
Based on recommendations from this forum I went to midway to check and found something I liked for my Ruger GP100 4 inch.

I already own a very nice perfectly sized Holster for Ruger GP100 4 inch.
The one I already had was a Mitch Rosen Express Line GP100, but since it lacked any features to secure the gun I considered it more of a competition holster and I wanted more of a working holster.

This new one is a Galco S&W 686 4", right hand tan.

The holster fits perfect and is comfortable to wear.
The fact that its a 40oz Revolver made me tighten up my belt to hold it securely.
The Holster seems to hold the weapon very well is comfortable to reach, does not get in the way of normal activity.
I am wearing it right now in front of the computer w/o issues so this tells me it will be comfortable for vehicle wear as well.

Also has a pleasant gun-oily smell to it.:D

And now for the pics!
(Sorry about the messy bedroom)

Its a Galco.
The S&W 686 4" ,model (which fits the GP100 4" just fine)

Nice Rig! Always liked that "Oiled Tan" look to the Holster, like an MC officer or Hwy. patrolman...

Galco and Bianchi are great off-the-shelf. Leather is the only way to go. Great Holster, Great Gun.

Now go clean up your bedroom Mister!

Been using the heck out of it at the BOL.
Looks and works great. :)

Nice holster! Read and follow the care instructions. It is very easy to render a very nice holster useless. If you get something nasty on your holster use a damp rag (damp, not wet) and glycerin soap to clean it. Glycerin soap is a good leather conditioner. Use glycerin soap with care. If you get crazy with any leather conditioner your holster will lose it's shape.

I have been using glycerin soap on my saddles for many years, especially leather girths. Usually the elastic wears out before the leather does.
