They do. They make "factory" mags for Sig, CZ, BHP, Beretta, as well as many Ruger and S&W models.

So you could buy a MecGar CZ 75 mag for $17, or you could buy a MecGar CZ 75 mag with a "CZ factory" roll mark for $35. Some folks don't seem to comprehend this...or else that CZ stamp is really important to them.

Sure they do. You know that. And even if they do that what they sell direct to the public is exactly the same as they make for an industrial manufacturing customer of theirs...

Look, if it was Colt 1911 and Star I'd believe it. Might even be that Chip McCormick mags are BETTER than factory -- in fact, they are. For other guns? Factory -- period! Factory spec. Quality controlled. My life isn't worth saving $15 especially as a gamble based on the word of the cheap-azz and usually-incorrect folk on the internet.

By the way, I've tried Mecgar mags, twice -- all went back except one novelty piece to tease my Brother-in-Law. They're great for that. Never bother again.

We just have to agree I have a different philosophical perspective. Bottom line? I don't do anything in my life hoping to see what I can get away with.

I would never buy MecGar for a 1911. Their's are junk. I like Wilsons or Tripps for 1911s. There's a difference between an aftermarket type MecGar (1911) versus one in a model of gun that contracts 100% their factory magazine production out to MecGar.

I have factory and MecGars for my 75b, P226, and BHP. In each case the factory stamped versions that came with the pistols are all in fact, MecGars. And in each case, they stay loaded/carried with plain old MecGars. For the Sig specifically, the $25 MecGar AFC (anti-friction coating) is a far superior mag to any of the $60 Sig mags I own for it. Go figure.

I probably own about a dozen Mecgars between these three pistols. Zero issues ever. Each has digested thousands rounds, as they're regular workhorses at the range.

The Springfield XD or XDM are also good full size 9 mm handguns. Also I hear good things about the Walther PPQ. It is more the size of a Glock 19 then 17, but you can get all four fingers around the grip. Also the Ruger SR9 is antother pistol about the same size as the Glock 17. It has a thumb safety. I have the SR9c, and it is a sweetheart to shoot.

Default Full size 9mm

I recommend the Glock 34, its is the number one gun used in IDPA competition. Also highly used in IPSC competition. Holds 17 rounds, adjustable sites, extremely accurate and dependable under all conditions.

I used this gun to kick ass in a personal competition last week. (I will make seperate posting about that)

Great home defense weapon. If you carry, and use a in the waistband holster, it will work as good as any other.
