Good article. Only point that MAY be a bone of contention is dry firing rimfire handguns. With several, you MUST dry fire them to take them apart- but it still puts the hair on on the neck of us old timers. For .38 cal and larger, I also use the pencil test- unloaded firearm, cock, UNSHARPENED pencil down the barrel eraser first, with gun pointed in a SAFE direction, drop hammer. Fingers in front of the pencil (understand the UNSHARPENED part now?) Pencil should be driven forward smartly by firing pin striking the rubber eraser.
