How often would one recommend taking apart and cleaning the magazines of a Glock pistol

I do not own a Glock, but take apart and clean all magazines every time the gun is cleaned. Do you have to? No. But you would not change your oil w/o changing the filter would you? Maybe not the best analogy, but crap gets everywhere, clean the crap out. It is too easy to not do it.

It's just a portion of the cleaning process. I've only seen one Glock 9 magazine fail since about 1985. It had been dropped lips down on concrete.

It can be a gigantic PITA, the steel mags seem to come right apart but those polymer ones just give me headaches...Just talking mags in general...

I've been responsible for telling those non-magazines that they were dead...after you put 'em on the concrete.
