Those of you that have been here for a while have heard me speak of my shooting partner- Anarchist-in-Training. She is now 16, grandaughter, started shooting with me at age 10.

Idiot adult shooter that commented on how cute it was that a little girl would come shooting with the old man. Failing to realize THAT cute little girl was shooting a bull barreled Mossberg target rifle, and using a sling the proper way. She smiled, and asked HIM if he would like to put $5 on the next target at 100 meters?

Clenaed his clock, and took his money.

The Glock 34 has adjustable open sights. Plus, it is very accurate.

The Glock 34 is the #1 weapon of choice with top shooters in IDPA shooting.

I'm somewhat concerned about the direction of this forum. A bunch of shooters wanting a picture of a young toothless loudmouth seems not conjuring up a good image in this ol' farts weak brain.
Dearhunter, good job! The story was well told and the foreshadowing excellent. They're shooting "tin cans" and you're on paper. That seems to say a lot. Cans may be more fun ,but---.
Attempting to continue with a little Saturday morning humor, at 15 yds. are you sure you didn't take advantage of those poor young fellows? Perhaps your arms were a mite longer -so they were shooting a further distance. Shame on you! They were at a disadvantage with a smaller brain to begin with.
The son-in-law and I were shooting at a range in Superior , Wisconsin. Both of us were in awe of an older gentleman (appearing to be in his late sixties or early seventies) working on a fifty yard target with a collection of S&W 29s. After complimenting him on his firearms , with a big grin he showed us his targets. The targets were more impressive than the 4 Smiths.
Good job, Dearhunter!

when i was much, much younger, i was taught to respect my elders and after growing up with my father shooting, wanted to learn from more senior shooters, rather than wanting to challenge them. i guess it's just the difference in the generations and the things we are taught. Dad is almost seventy now, and though i am a little better with pistols, i probably wouldn't want to bet with him on target rifles! we enjoy shooting our 22 rifles on Sundays for sport and with them he is just a little better.

I was at a public shooting range this past week, which I cant stand. But, my membership into a new shooting club is not complete. Here is what took place.
When I arrived there were some young good old boys banging away at tin cans and odd targets with handguns. I moved off to the far side away from them to enjoy my own shooting. These guys were loud talkers and one in particular. He only had two front teeth!! There were other shooters in between us. About half hour later there were only me, one shooter to my left and the three good old boys. I heard the loudmouth shout over to me, "Hey old dude" you wanna put two dollars up and do some shootin. They invited the guy next to me also. I thought about it and said fine with me. I ask what they wanted to shoot. I had plenty of NRA shooting targets and offered them up. It was decided, the best of 10 rounds at 15 yards took the pot. I let them all bang away, then took my Glock 34 and blew the x out of the center of the target. Picked up the 10 bucks and went back to my side of the range. They got real quiet after that and kept looking over at me shooting.
It was a good day!! "Never judge a book by its cover"
Good for you Dearhunter!

I'll bet the handicap of it being a plastic gun really rubbed it in too!

There are way to many people buying guns who dont take the proper time to learn hiw to use them. Its great when someone can show them how much they didnt know. When you can make a little money on the side good for u, great story keep u the good work.

You'd think someone who shows up with " . . . plenty of NRA targets . ." instead of tin cans or whatever would've given them a clue.

If I ever get good & consistent with my G19, I'll start looking at a G 34.
