Now that is some solid advice!

my wife is unusual, she hates shopping for anything. she doesn't mind shooting guns, but she would rather stay at home than go shopping for one!

The last time I took my wife with me to a gun shop with an indoor shooting range, while I was shooting, she bought two purses with pistol pockets & she doesn't even carry!

I`d check on a CZ75.
Pretty low in price, good quality, great accuracy, good to handle and almost anybody can shoot with a CZ75 and also hit........

...and while you're at the store with your husband,
might you want to look at a nice rifle or pistol
for your personal use?

good suggestion! she might like to shoot with her husband. my wife and i get in the backyard and shoot together sometimes and have a great time. for some reason she likes the shotguns and 22's more than the pistols.

Go 1911 for the military man in your life. Already owns two other military service pistols. Why not another? Just sayin'

Amen to the 1911. Go for a Colt 1911. If you want to go all out for him, try to find one of the Colt 100th Anniversary model. They have military spec models that aren't as pricey and are a great link to that era of issue.
