If it were up to me I would stick with what I know. I already own a 1911. not the best ( sub compact Llama) but I like it and it's very reliable as I've never had a MF in over 10 years.....no BS. Only problem is that the company I'll be working with doesn't allow single action or sub compacts so I have to have a full size double action. They will provide me with a 4" smith & Wesson 357 If I am unable to provide my own pistol but It seems like a good excuse to stimulate the economy with my tax return. since this piece will not have to be concealed I would like an all steal frame and these two platforms are the creme of the crop as far as full sized double action combat pistols. Do to the fact that they are both non polly I have no problem shooting really beefy 9mm rounds like buffalo bore that are on par with 40 S&W rounds as far as power. So the round doesn't concern me not to mention I like the fact that the cz hold 20 freeking rounds. also hang in there Muliemaster. I'm sure she will pull threw!

Of those options, I'd clearly go with a CZ 75b. Since you're already familiar with the 1911, you'll find the grip, controls, and overall feel to be quite familiar. It's a great gun. The only knock is that it's a heavy gun to wear around all day.

Only consider the Beretta 92 if you have massive hands. They're good guns, but extremely overbuilt.
