So I bought my first pistol today, a XD9 subcompact. My background is rifles and such. Any suggestions on must haves for side items?

A good holster and lots of ammo and range time.

I recommend some good quality snap caps as well. Perfect for training at home. Practice your grip style, stance, trigger squeeze, sight picture/sight alignment, drawing from your holster and clearing different rooms in your house. All safely without worrying about damaging your firing pin.

Yup s.a.a. Practice practice. I play with snap caps while watching a movie. good at the range to load a few live rounds and then a snap cap then a few more live rounds. Help with learning how to check and clear a miss fire or load it as a stove pipe. You get the picture. Congrads by the way. O and get a good safe.
you pew pew pew lately bro!?
