I have a Ruger P95 that I really love. It's cheap to shoot (9mm). It's accurate enough for the range. It is a DA/SA and it handles much like a 1911. Many shooters choose the P95 as their first gun. It's more of a duty pistol that a concealed weapon. It can be concealed but it's not like concealing a pocket pistol. You have to dress appropriately. Naturally it's much easier to conceal in cold weather. You can find a P95 with a stainless slide for around $340.
If a P95 won't eat Winchester bulk ammo it's broke.
