My son and I shoot, fish, camp and hunt together. And right now we are in the middle of a Jeep restoration. My Dad was not around when I was growing up. I am making it memorable for my son.

I'll never purposefully have a child, responsibility beyond myself just isn't anything I've ever been interested in, but my father and I do everything together and have since he divorced my mom.

He's my fishing, shooting, hunting, camping, drinking, BBQing and golfing partner. Often my eldest brother is involved as well. His friends are mine and mine his.

If you knew me then ( when he was born) you would know I had no intentions of having another child. I was not ready fot the first one and did not like his mother. I was with her so I did not loose my daughter. And woke up one morning with another kid.

Now I would not change a thing though. I love my son and it makes me laugh that he is JUST like me!

There are some things in life that you would normally not like that bring your biggest joys.

Hank Hill: Bobby, if you weren’t my son, I’d hug you.

Now, I took him to Chattanooga Friday, to turn him over to his Mom for the summer. I miss him already.

Just east of Monroe we had another good moment. I pulled over on the side of the interstate so we could watch the crop dusters pulling off their aerobatics. I did point out to him that flying UNDERNEATH the overpass is illegal as hell and incredibly dangerous to everyone.

He wants a crop duster now.
