Default Extractor/ejection Problems

last year i ordered a Taurus 1911 45 ACP, the handgun was what i wanted , a beauty..... matte blakc, with a rail, for future,i shoot abot 500 rounds getting use tot he firearm, cleaned it everytime i got done shooting, so one day, i wanted to bang off some rounds to practice, i loaded the clip and fired one round, then click.... look at the slide n the expended brass was still in chamber, i was miffed, took the clip of , the new round i shook out,,, well in the end the Extractor was sheared off... i was heart broken... the gun wasnt even broken in and it was broke.... so here is the research, thru other forums about this workmanship of the quality of the gun, Taurus is using inferior materials, for there guns... it will take 4 to 6 weeks to fix... and i wonder if there is Other that have experianced this....

i have already made a decision, n know by test firing it today... SA XDM 45 ACP 13 +1

I get a lot of mileage out of this graphic;

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

I have to ask...

Did you load from the magazine?
Or did you drop one in the chamber and forced the extractor to go over the rim of the cartridge?

Hint: One of the above is the correct procedure, the other will detune or break the extractor. (normally)

4 to 6 weeks to fix? Just call Taurus they will send you a new one in about 3 days and put it in yourself. I've had no problems with my PT1911 in 3 years. I carry it daily.
