Regardless of state laws there is the Federal Law. Federal law requires that the FFL files a multiple firearms purchase report when a buyer buys more than one firearm at one time. This can bring your name up for investigation by the BATF.

I found the trick also if your wife doesn't care for you to buy guns is to keep buying black ones. That way you can say "oh no this is the one I was using last week". Just don't let them see in the safe.

Then a month later a maverick for turkey hunting. Had a dry spell until march rolled around and the great state of NY graced me with a pistol permit. Glock 30, hey I needed it as my carry and my bedside. All was well until last month I saw a nice deal on a gun I wanted for a while, an od framed glock 27. Then I found a deal on an OD green ruger LCR which seems to be sold out everywhere. Then I went to dicks and got my first deer rifle for November deer season.
It isn't just the guns, but all that comes with them, ammo, safes, hunting apparel, cases, locks for the kids. I think I might have a problem. The thing is I don't look at gun in a long term way, like, one day I will own that Smith 686, I want them NOWWWW
Are you at the point where you can fill out the form 4473 blindfolded yet? If not, you don't have a problem. If you answered yes, please let us know so we can start buying stock in a few firearms companies.

Seriously, I don't think you are out of control. Then again, I may be a poor judge of this. Not only do I have two safes full, a third one on order, and an old linen closet modified to house amunition, I also have a wife who owns more guns than I do. Is it a bad thing that the only time I ever get in trouble for buying a new gun is when I forget to bring home atleast 200 rounds of ammo to put through it? I don't think it is!

This whole thread reminds me of me lol. I started with a CZ 83, got a Mosin the next month, and thus began the "I'm good now, but I need x for the purposes of y". I tell the wife we just need one more whatever (God bless her patient soul), but it's never enough. In the last 12 months I have purchased 12, and I have two more on layaway. I don't feel bad about it though. I work extra when I can, cut corners on stuff for me personally, and ensure that the needs of my family are met. And I can protect us from everything from mice with the .22 up to whatever North America can throw at us... Lol! Better than a car or porn addiction

If I hit the lottery I'd have more guns than the whole of Afghanistan.

Do you know who Michael Palin is? He went there to the place where they manufacture guns out of dirt and camel hair, and it was amazing! Guns EVERYWHERE! And they seem to be pieces of decent quality, all handmade lol. If I won a $10mil lotto I can honestly see spending half, at least, on gunstuffs. The missus would LOVE that. "Look, baby. The diamond you've always wanted. It's in the adjustable rear sights of your new DE!" Lol!

I'm getting close. I have a system. 10a and 10b threw me last time, it was a new thing to ask for ethnicity and race, I always just put Latino, now I have to put white which is just weird. I put my name address SS on op, then check yes, then all nos then next page and I have my signature, I'm almost where I can fill it out blindfolded, even remembered the question number and letter of a particular section.

Lol.

I haven't checked this thread for a while because I was sure I wasn't anyone with a problem...then I went Christmas shopping and got my Grandchildren new pistols (two 1911's and a PINK Wolverine) and myself a Henry Golden Boy rifle all in the course of a week! It's not at the point that some of y'all have, but I've had to realize that I need a new safe just for my long-guns (the pistol safe still has room, sorta). But filling that gap in my security means finding someplace to put the thing and that is where I have trouble. I'm still measuring and checking door swings for now but soon... And then there will probably be one of those new Charter snubby 9mm's in at the LGS and I'll be in trouble again!
