The glock you posted is what I want this gun to look like color wise. I just picked up a sigma 9mm. The polymer is black but the slide is nickel.

Are you sure it's nickel and not just polished stainless? Sigmas don't come from the factory in a nickel finish, but they do come in stainless. It's very easy to polish stainless to a shine that can be mistaken for nickel.

Duracoat doesn't adhere to stainless very well. Especially polished stainless.

Im thinking about duracoating my 1911, not sure if i want to attempt it myself tho since i have absolutely no experience with the product. Heres a pic from google images, i like this color scheme and im thinking of going this route.

Surface prep is key. The polished surface really needs to be bead blasted to give the coating a rough surface to stick to.
