There are no really bad gun deals. It is simply the cost of a good firearms education. The lessons learned at GTU [Gun Traders University] are never forgotten. I have paid into it so many times I now hold a PHD in high paid errors.

I had a Glock 26 I sold because I am a man I of my word and a friend said he wanted it. I needed some funds and he was willing to pay me $500.00 bucks for a used G26. Well when doing the bill of sale we both realized that the serial number was 000001 and I wanted to change my mind and keep it but I went through with the sale. I have been trying to get it back ever since. I think he used it on a trade for an AR.

I once sold an 85% condition 1968 Browning A5 lightweight 12ga for $275. In my defense, I only paid $90 for it. My buddy needed money.

Last year I traded my Kel-Tec SU16ca for a Universal M1 carbine with a synthetic stock. Still makes my nuts hurt when I think about it. :shame:

Not a Glock fan either, im not even shore how I came to own it. I think I bought it for my wife and she didnt like that or the smith&wesson 40ve and she ended up with a Sig Sauer SP2022 in a 40. I myself up until recently have been a 1911 man and of couse a Sig as well.

Dumbest gun deal?

Well I bought the Rugers LCP & LC9, my first two guns before shooting and learning anything more than the fact that I hated revolvers, based on two shots of 38sp from a 357 when I was maybe 15.

I'm glad I experienced the disgust of revolvers' horrible ergonomics and feel, then the long, mushy, terrible DAO triggers of the Elsies. Just wish I'd only done the first one before buying the second. Lol

But really, that's just the way I learn. I never take anyone's word for anything, ever. If I want to know something, I experience it for myself. I learned and realized, at a very early age, that most people are either idiots or liars, and the majority are both.

That's me, head first and head strong.

The "worst" deal was not really a deal. I was into building trucks at the time, loooong story short, I got burned by someone who was supposed to be my best friend. He was bad off on drugs, and I was trying to help him out. I ended up trading my truck for his unfinished truck. It was a heap in the end, got a Remington 1100 out of the deal. I lost thousands of dollars. I love that shotgun but, yeah I got hit hard.

I traded my first pistol, a Taurus 24/7 pro ds 45 acp for a original all matching good shape chicom sks. I love the sks and the pistol wasnt my favorite. However it was my first. Made me sad kinda. No more trading, ever.
