thans anyway all i did was dissasemble the gun, clean every part, lubricate the neccesary components and then reassemble the gun back together. it works fine now, it isnt to do with my grip on the gun because i can handle the recoil fairly well. also, i cannot do so as to send it overseas because im actually located in Australia. thanks anyway

Probably ammo the de 50 is designed to run 325 grain with a near max charge weight.

Ive had one since they came out with the 50. It really doesnt run well with 300 grain bullets or with light powder charges in 325 grain

I've got one in .44 and a good cleaning -- including removing the bolt -- followed by plenty of lube (especially grease on the rails) is important. And +1 on not touching the mag while shooting and the grip...I actually wrap the index finger of my support hand over the trigger guard.

Also, if it is not cycling it can be the ammo...it really needs full power loads to cycle reliably. Even the ammo I bought from Magnum directly wouldn't always cycle reliably.

Since I already reload other calibers I went ahead and started reloading for the DE and it rarely has a problem cycling now unless I go over 100 rounds or so before doing a field strip/clean.

50AE is pretty much made for the DE50.

With a DE44, it could be argued you're using

the wrong ammo, or "cheap stuff", but 50AE

is 50 AE.

Concentrate on not touching the mag. A

critical error is thinking you're "helping"

by shoving that mag up tight. It needs to

hang low, to properly strip the next round

from the mag.

It's not whether YOU can "handle" the recoil.

You really need to stiff-arm this gun, allowing

very little movement, in order for the slide to cycle

all the way, and load the

next round properly.

Don't forget to check back in, after you try again, bro.

I think I'd rather put you up,

than pay for your ammo.

Dang. You have a special

connection down under, or what's it

cost for .50AE and BMG down there?

The term "assault rifle" bothers some of the

members here, we prefer "peacetime milsurp"

So do you have any firearms which won't dislocate

the average guy's shoulder, while putting him in the

poorhouse, at the same time?

Some of us here actually

shoot girly 22LRs, when we can find the ammo.

Well for a 20 round box of .50ae its about $45-$55 same price range for a box of ten rounds of BMG ammunition. dont get me wrong, the price isnt cheap and i dont go shooting on a daily basis. and yes i shoot rather cheaper ammunition with my Beretta 92fs, Glock G26, Walther P99 e.g. ill tell you what, it is a relief to switch to a smaller caliber firearm after using heavy stuff haha.
