In my area leo trades are hard to come by. There were some 2022 and 2340 used at my lgs but i didnt like the feel in my hand. I love the 226 but i dont have the bankroll for that just yet

Beretta or the Couger is my advice...CZ as well.

Beretta and CZ both offer decocker only models, like the SIG so you aren't saddled with a useless manual safety.

PT840 is a good choice. Lotsa shots, good caliber, and Taurus has been making good guns for over a decade, now.

Oh I do, have great sources for it, but the one I want is too new.

Taurus became a top notch company in my book today, i was having some feeding problems with one of my new mags so i gave cs a ring. They took my info and sending a new set of mags out, no questions asked. Taurus is my new number one now

That's what I have for CCW, great quality firearm for a decent price, very accurate out of the box, rotary lock up allows very little barrel rise which makes it great for right on target follow up shots.

Amen. My Stoeger 8040 .40 S&W "Cougar" is what I carry unless I'm not wearing loose enough clothing to conceal it.
