take a look at these odd guns

Not completely sure this one is real but still cool. (It may have the semi auto beat in both dependability and capacity)

saw one with two cylinders that revolved around the frame on guns of the world (european revolvers) but cant find any pics of it.

it's a semi automatic revolver! it sounds like a neat idea but i guess i just can't see any benefits it would have over a semi-auto pistol as we know it now. maybe back then the selling point was it wouldn't jam?
The Mateba Model 6 Unica is a another more modern version of the Webley's class of thinking.
Modern Firearms - Mateba Model 6 Unica
The advantage, revolver class power with single action trigger pull while still fiting in the hand nicely. The disadvantage, intricate and hard to fix depending on what breaks or falls out of time. Simplify the original idea of these and put them on a reliable assembly line backed by quality names and service and you've got yourself a fortune.

there are actually rounds like this made for rifles and pistols. they are called safety slugs. supposedly they do a lot of damage to flesh but arent supposed to go through more than one wall. got some for my wifes .380.

There are many gun creators....but no gun inventors....

try taking the time to sit down and imagine something thats NEVER been done.....I think the last biggy was probably bullpup platforms from the famas and similar weapons...

I know the first integrally suppressed weapon I can think of was a .45 ACP carbine version of the Lee Enfield No. 4 Mk. 1 that was used in the O.S.S and other special ops branches in ww2
