3M. Also known as skate tape, it is the same stuff on the skateboards. In training I have cycled the slide on my legs, off my holster, off my boots, corners of walls, door frames, car fenders, curbs, etc etc

I didnt read the whole thread so if its been mentioned my apologies.

Insert empty mag
turn gun upside down
Use the front of the slide above barrel on table edge and push.
Slide will lock back
Drop empty mag
insert full and get after it.

Your real issue is loading a magazine one handed...

That will grip and you can rack the slide just off of the tape itself, really?

yep. We have trained in snow, rain, sun, you name it. We use outdoor courses with live ammo to run through scenarios using snap caps for various simulations. I have racked off my muddy soaking wet boots many times. I once racked off the round metal support that runs from seat of my deer stand to the frame and thats typically wet from dew or something else.

In the military they taught us to catch the rear sight of our 1911's on our web belt and push down if an arm became injured. A heavy leather belt does the same. Good for defense bad for the range.

The old military holsters had a step built in to rack the pistol.

The pistol mag load assist device need two hands to use. If you had a block of wood with a hole in the center big enough to drop a mag in narrow enough to keep it stable it would be doable.

Let me see if i can come up with something tonite. Been working in the rehab business for decades. Family business.
