I am a big fan of the CZ-82. I bought 500 rounds of 9 x 18 JHP for $125 and the gun for $179 (now only $199). They are extremely well made and are durable enough to give someone a decent pistol whippin'

Shameless Plug Warning!!!

With a little work and a few $ for grips it can look like this -

+10 on the .22 for the money yer looking to spend and you already have an a-s load of ammo.

If you can muster the extra 100 bucks then a 9mm would be a great addition and an affordable shooter.

NitroxAZ, that's a good looking autoloader.

Nice job! Cheapie 9mm - General Handgun Discussion

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Thank you sir! From a dyed in the wool Colt Man, I will take that as a hell of a compliment.

I have a C&R, already have the CZs, and indeed, great guns. Often opt to carry the 82 in the summer, conceals better than the XD.

I know it's big and ugly, and has the horrible rep, I was just leaning toward something with ammo available everywhere.

NGIB has me interested in the whole bowling pin thing, and I hesitate to shoot as often as I used to, not because of the price, but because of the silliness that still sometimes goes with tracking it down.

BB we also shoot .22 pin matches once a month and they are also a blast. We saw the top 8 inches or so off regular pins for the targets. I generally shoot my Mk III Hunter with CCI Minimags with very good results.

If any of you folks are ever planning a Savannah visit, give me a little advance notice and I can get a pin match setup...

Why don't you just get the new Hi-point TS carbine?

It's the only Hi-point I'd ever buy
