That's true. No question.

But why have a POS if you can afford front cabin?

I shot my first Hi-point (a 9m/m) the other day. A friend bought it at a yard sale for $125 w/ holster and ammo. We shot about a box thru it. I was amazed how accurate it was. We consistently hit clay pigeons at about 20-25 yards. And it worked fine every time we pulled the plastic trigger. I own no plastic guns but I guess I could find no faults in this gun(though it hurt my eyes to look at it ).

buy the best you can afford. buy used. do a layaway plan. put money back in a piggy bank. there are always options if you look for them.

but my pet peeve is i hate the term, cheap. it means to me, ill made and likely to break, and well cheap! i prefer the term, inexpensive to the term cheap. decent quality at a reasonable price.

i don't own any cheap firearms, but i do own a few that were inepensive. some are really nice, name brand firearms that needed some attention. last year i bought two older Remington M700 rifles, one in 30-06 and the other in 270 for less that the price of the least expensive new M700's!

Nice comparison...

Why?

Because when you get off the airplane, you have both arrived at the same place, at the same time, but you - with the front cabin are now $1,500 poorer (on a short flight) than the back cabin reasonable person. Make that an overseas flight - and multiply by 3.

What sense???

Elitism is good - but usually at creating creaked necks, nose bleeds, and depleted bank account.

I do enjoy the cheap seats, as you so quaintly put it. My Sig 1911 is 100 times the gun that my POS Kimber was, and it cost less than 3/4 the price of the Kimber. With the money I saved I was able to buy a new S&W J frame for a back-up.

I see as much snobbery (and more at times) from the "cheap is good enough" people. They get all bent out of shape with what OTHER PEOPLE do with THEIR MONEY. If someone can afford first class, wants to spend the money on it, and is happier for doing so, what's it to you? I have news for you, most people who have the money to allow them to buy nice things actually did work for it. Most know what it is like to struggle and have been there. Those who have not a are just douche bags and should not be given the time of day.

BTW this is written buy a person who has never flown first class and never bought a gun for more than $600. I drive a 5 year old car. My family is comfortable, but we are by no means wealthy. Both my wife and I work and we buy what we need/want, but sometimes that means saving.

If all a person can afford is a Hi Point, then that's what they should buy. I certainly don't look down on anyone for owning one. Personally, I buy guns that function well and are pleasing for me to look at. Yea they cost a little more, and it takes me more time to save up for them at times, but it's my money and I'll spend in a way that pleases me. Anyone who does not like that can go piss up a rope.

For the same reason I'd also choose a Corvette (or just about any other) over a Smart Car too. Given a choice. Their not having a choice doesn't mean we should elevate them to "noble savage" status?

Pretend we are pedestrian? On a firearms forum!?
