Default cheap .22

My mom is looking for a low priced .22 just for backyard plinking. Frame size will either be medium or small. I have been looking around but would like to get some opinions

Ruger 22/45, MKIII, SR22, and Single-Six are some good guns that don't cost too much.

Ruger 10/22 is always fun to plink with no matter what age. And they can be had for $250-$300 OTD for the basic model.

I'd have to agree with Garadex...my 9-year old niece loves shooting the Ruger Mark 3.

If it works it'd be fine for plinking but a bigger gun would be more accurate to kill cans and paper with.
