I have heard of police confiscated guns that were made out of cap guns or car radio antenna's that would shoot a .22

Before i was a deputy i worked for the oklahoma dept of corrections... In prison they r called "zip" guns...ink pen shaft, rubber band, thumb tack, and a .22 bullet = homemade gun

The "zip guns" are not rifled firearms- they are smoothbore. So basically, you have a shotgun with a barrel less than 18 inches- and THAT is not legal.

Everybody thought McGuyver was so special! Just spend a month in a prison and you'll find guns, knives, tattoo guns, radios, cocaine, decks of cards, mopeds...all stuff on the contraband list that they aren't supposed to have but somehow they get the raw materials and build it, make it, grow it, knit it, weld it, manufacture it - it's absolutely amazing to see the skills they develop behind bars.
