Not that Remington is sub par, but I bought the rounds off a friend who has had them for quite a while. I am hoping that was the issue. I will let you know if it fails to shoot again. I am going to purchase a few boxes of different types of ammo including what I carry daily and put another 200+ rounds through her.

I have had two Model 85s. A stainless and a Ultralite. No problems with either. Both were the full hammer versions. My daughter has the bobbed hammer version. No problems with any of them. I personally like the stock grip a lot. Keep it on my 642 most of the time.
