Bulk Ammo

Looking for bulk ammo at a good price online, I've looked online but really haven't found any deals I can't live without. I'm looking for good quality ammo for a .357 mag like 1000-2000 rounds. The cheapest I've found is American Eagle for like $400 for a 1000 rounds, but I've never shot that round. I'm new to handguns and don't have a lot of experiance with them. I'm gonna be shooting from a Ruger Gp100. Thanks..

Have you tried...

Ammo & Hunting Gear, Camping & Outdoor Equipment, Military Surplus & Clothing at Sportsman's Guide
Shop Shooting Supplies | Reloading | Gunsmithing | Hunting gear — MidwayUSA
Cheaper Than Dirt - America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter

Sometime their prices aren't the best other times they aren't too bad.

Yah I looked online at work, but I'm thinking I should try a variety of rounds first to see what works best for me then just find it in bulk and not worry about buying a lot of ammo I don't like.. I haven't even shot the revolver yet but I'm hopfully gonna go after work and rent one at my local gun shop today. I'm working 7am to 7pm for probally two more weeks, then I can get my permit to purchase my pistol at the police station, because they are only open from 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday.

Google:

AIM surplus

Luckygunner

Both have good prices on ammo.

American eagle is great cheap ammo. I have shot a ton of it, and never had any malfunctions with any of my semi autos or my revolver.

I shot some 9mm American eagle 124gr fmj's on Sunday. Only 50 rounds but I also did not have a single issue other than 50 rounds was not nearly enough :D

fupuk Why not get some bulk 38 sp for play and basic practice, Then you can find a "deal on hunting/defence grade ammo. I know georgia arms is not in your area but with large orders they ship free and they do have there canned-heat reloads that cost 210.00 for 1000 rounds . It is a remanufactored ammo for practice stuff but i have shot there ammo for way to long and never had any issues. All my hand guns have there, new ammo with startline brass, speer bullets, +P ammo in them for carry /hunting. 9mm,40cal and 38/357 with some 44mag. Or see who supplies your area indoor ranges with remanufactored/new ammo.

I was planning on getting 38spl for practice, but I know I'm gonna want .357mag also for practice. I just don't know enough about ammo to fee comfortable buying a large amount of ammo that I have never fired. (That's why I'm here) I've been working 84hours a week so for me it easier to ask questions on this forum rather than calling my local gun store every 30mins. Even though I'm sure they would love talking to me.

+1 on this recommendation. Georgia Arms provides excellent quality with great prices.

Just bought 1000rounds of 38spl and 500rounds of .357mag from Georgia Arms and the grand total was like $470 with shipping. Called them and they said it should be at my door step Friday, so now all I gotta do is buy the revolver and shoot the sh*t out of it..

Use www.gun-deals.com and go to their Ammo Deals section. You can enter your zip to get a shipping estimate. Best way to find the place with the cheapest ammo.
