1. a Sig p229 in .357 Sig with an extra barrel in .40 S&W, three extra magazines (48 rds. total). 32 oz for the gun and say 24 oz for the ammo, barrel and mags (I didn't actually weigh the barrel here but I'm assuming 6 oz. for that).

2. Diamondback DB9 in 9mm Luger with 2 extra mags (18 rds total). 11 oz for the gun and say 8 oz for the ammo and mags.

I figured the ammo by bullet weight (7000 grains per pound)

Total weight here is 75 oz which should still be under 80 oz allowing for powder weight and brass casings.
S&W Mod 66 and S&W Mod 60. Both are stainless to reduce corrosion, both are .357. Both can shoot rat shot for slithering snakes and 158 gr SWC for two legged snakes. The added bonus is that with most of you choosing 9mm, .40, and .45 caliber guns there should be plenty of ammo left for me. <grin>

buggin out? if I don't have time to grab it all, then I'm getting my tactical harness/holster rig, the M9 and the AR-15 Mforgery.

if it's good enough for me to carry when I go to far away places, then it's good enough for me to carry if I need to bug out here at home. the 92FS/M9 would serve as a back-up gun, the M4 would be primary, and could be used for self defense, and hunting.

my gear has 6 AR Mags and 5 M9 mags in it ready to go. toss it over my shoulders, clip the waist band, 2 clips for the thigh holster, and I'm ready to go. if there's time, then I'll grab the go-bag. and if there's more time, I'll grab all the guns, the ammo cans, and the rubber maid box full of camping/survival gear.

I would choose a 1911 and Glock 17. Ammo and mags or more available than any other handgun with these choices. If I could pick another one it would be a Beretta or Taurus 92 for the same reasons.

Who worries about snakes (or food for that matter)? My plan has long been to hunt and eat the "unprepared". That's right...a daily dose of people steak.

I'm going to live off humanburgers and beer (in a constant state of diligent preparation on the latter count) while I assemble my Robot Army that will shortly thereafter conquer the world.

Remind me not to accept a dinner invitation from you. Donner? Party of 87. Your table is ready.

I saw an interesting gun yesterday that would fit in well. Ruger SA357 with 6.5" barrel and an extra 9mm cylinder. It does not compete with the Medusa but a nice choice.

I only have 3 guns. I would definitely take my GP100. She packs the biggest punch of all my guns. I would also take my Ruger MarkII for small game. And I know you only said two guns but it wouldn't take much to slip my Sig P238 in my pocket.

Desert Eagle with as many mags and as much ammo as the 5lb allows

Seriously though,
Either a Glock 34, USP Expert or Walther PPQ as primary, only due to light weight polymer frames & higher cap mags compared to my SAO's
HK P7 as backup.
