I carry a 1911 with a 7 round mag, one to two spare 7 rounders. Mainly for mag failure and ya never know stuff. Don't really care what people think what I carry. It's my damn business and mine alone. It gives me comfort knowing I have that.

When I go on road trips, I carry the same load out and another box of ammo in the glove box. Why? Because I CAN. Lol

At one time I've carried a 45acp that had a 12+1 capacity and two spare mags. That to me was overkill but hey, why not.

When I acquire another 1911, I will probably carry both in a vest or shoulder holster. Why? Because I can. Lol.

My wedding party, I couldn't tell you how many handguns there were. My family members had at least one, my father had three.
Oh dern....

Revelation 19:11

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

And what is my profession you think?

I honestly didn't think I run off with anything. I just tried to give an opinion and the basis for it. I wasn't trying to convince anyone either. Hell, I repeated do what you want. I just don't see the need. But no one has to do what I do.

Is there a problem wit ha person on a discussion forum stating an opinion? Or maybe it's just you don't like when it's not in agreement with yours?

Everyone has their opinion on what works bet for them. Yes, it is difficult to carry 2 guns and extra mags when wearing a speedo. The main idea is to avoid a threat first. But like a good Boy Scout, be prepared.
