My neighbor and I used to shoot his father's S&W K-22...loved it! I WILL own one some day! I have not been to a gun show in over a year, but when I do, that weapon will be second on my wish list behind a CZ-75B .40 S&W...whichever shows itself first will be coming home with me that day.

choices, choices! I think my friends HK USP .45. That thing was amazing and it was a contributing factor in me getting an FN FNP .45. The FN was cheaper but very similar.

Default Best handgun you have tried, but dont own youself!

Still own( I know that the thread says) my 6" Python. No longer own( it was my Dad's, and we could not keep everything according to my late Mom) a 4" Colt Trooper( Dad's first duty gun). My Dad and I had a "Thing" for Colt & Ruger wheel guns...

Another I did not Post belonged to my Late Uncle, a Colt Police Positive, my Uncle's first Duty gun in the mid 1950's

My great grandpa also carried a Colt Police Positive in .38 Special. I've been told some tails of some crazy situations he was in while he was a deputy. I've also been told he competed in non-formal matches with it and won quite a few times. A cousin owns it now and I've never had the chance to shoot it.

You are correct. The 6 Full Lug gun was originally an 8 3/8" then cut down to 6". The 5" Full Lug was made up around 1991 from a standard 6" by S&W.

My Uncle had a 6" Carried in a Hip Rig with a "leg Tie down." He shot In matches back then with either a Mod. 19, or his 1911.
Many of his Guns were destroyed in the Fire that Killed him(along with his Art work(he also Painted and Drew) and His Photography in 1988. The One Safe that was "High temp. fire Rated" we saved, I have Most of that. a few that were "Burned" were able to be saved. Most of the Collectables were in the newer, better Safe,

STI 2011. I had one and found it to have great ergonomics, accuracy, capacity, trigger, and versitility. Could be modded to accept any number of cartridges.

I had one several years ago, but my agency disallowed single action pistols so I could not justify keeping a $1000 pistol I could not carry (and my N-frame collection sits in the safe :/). I found a substitute that pales by comparison, Glock 20.
