There is NO best for all people & all purposes so nobody can recommend the best, only certain kinds/types/models for an exact purpose based on information given.

The answer is - there ain't one. Guns are a very subjective topic as what works great for me may suck for you. If you're looking for advice, please provide enough information so we can at least help. For example:

What's the gun for? range plinking, home defense, concealed carry, etc.

What's your budget? If you have $1000+ to spend there are lots more options than if you have $300.

Any features you want or don't want? Could be rails, safties, interchangeable grips, etc.

What experience do you have?
What training have you had?
New gun or used gun?
Revolver or semi-auto?

The more info you provide, the more likely one of our experienced members can help you out - and may have personal experience with exactly what you're searching for...
There's lots of answers, we just can't agree on what those are!

Best semi auto striker fired 9mm for less than $600? Springfield XD!!

Best 1911 for $1k or less? Dan Wesson CBOB (parts list proves it)

Best revolvers? Can't go wrong with Smith or Ruger!

Best style martial art? Goju, ofcourse!

Best throwing style art? Judo

Best ???? ????? ????? ?????

I don't know anyone on these boards that have crappy 1911's. You guys are blessed!

I'll go with Colt Python, Colt Gold Cup National Match, Glock 19, Remington 870, Winchester Model 70, Remington Model 700, Smith & Wesson Model 29, Kimber Custom TLE, Smith & Wesson 442, Ruger LCP, Browning Buckmark, and Ruger 10/22.

What was the question again

"The Best" is a state of mind. Cost has no direct correlation to best. It's all how you shoot, what you want to achieve and believe. It's all personal choice.

You can apply this state of mind to everything from washing machines to cars or you can buy into the hype of a product to feed your ego. It's all choice.... for me, function follows form.......................................markerd own
