$300 is a good price if the weapon is in decent condition.
Personally, I find the weapon a horrible choice, but that is me.
I would recommend taking a look at the rails that the slide will be "running" on. Frequently the tolerances from one side to the other, on a well shot Beretta, will differ greatly.
This was true on my personal Model 92F that I bought in the very early 90's and kept for 5 years.
There is an after market "P" shaped, drop in part that I would recommend to take some of the awful slack out of the trigger.
