Beretta Neos, Browning Buckmark, or Ruger Mark III
I am looking for a cheap .22LR pistol for plinking. I have only shot a .22 pistol once and it was my father in laws walther P22. I have narrowed it down to the Neos, Buckmark, and Mark III mainly because they are all around $250. I was just wondering what kind of experiences you all have had with these guns. Right now they are all priced the same and I have no clue which one to get.

i personally like the Mark III especially with the heavy barrell and all stainles, it may be a little more expensive but it looks super awesome and its lazerbeam accurate. or if you want to go super cheap go with the ruger .22/45 its basically a polymer mark III with a shorter barrell, its still super accurate i love mine.

I have The Neos and a Ruger MkII the best one they ever made.

I have a bunch of time behind a buckmark and I will say you can't go wrong with any of the 3.

I personally will not own a Ruger MkIII with the idiot proof PRK approved loaded chamber indicator on it. it just makes the gun look like crap. I didn't like the 22/45 either because it was to sharp on the corners for me. Many on here like them. I don't.

Shoot a S&W 22A, mine shoots straight as an arrow, never has FTF or FTE, even dirty with cheap ammo. Big full sized pistol that is great for practice.

How about the Whitney Wolverine? Excellent article in this mont's issue of "GUNS" magazine. Apparently the new gun has a polymer frame and a vent rib. Other than that it is the same as the original 1958 gun.

Mark III for me, I love it.

I love my S&W 22A. Haven't had a problem from the first round to the last with any ammo I've put through it so far! I do like the way the Neos look and I think the Whitney Wolverines are pretty neat. Don't know how they shoot though.

Get the 1 THAT FITS YOU. Having said that, I prefer the Ruger mk2 over the mk3. The buckmark is good too.
