I've got 92s and 1911s, and they are actually pretty close in size, IMO.

If you carry a full-size 1911 already, IME, a 92FS or 92A1 isn't much

of an adjustment.

I use the same holster to carry either.

Shoulder holsters while a good idea wouldn't be my first choice, I like to get my jacket off, the cross breed looks like it could be the winner.

I love my crossbreed, although I carry the Px4 Storm. Take a look at crossbreedsecods.com you should bebable to find one for just about half the price of a new one.
